There is a lot of terrible things in this world… Murder, theft, the occasional fire or two. Yet for all the bad there is always good. Like gum, rainbows, and children. I always wonder why some things happen while others do not. Why did some people die in a tragedy while others didn’t? Is it luck? Where some people more prepared for a certain even than others? I tend to think it has to do a lot with both.
One time I was looking for insurance in a city. To be exact, mandrien title insurance. I was hoping to be prepared just in case all the sudden I was in a car accident. Never can be too careful you know? Plus it is also the law that you have car insurance so might as well. This goes back to what I was talking about. Being prepared. More »
When I was younger, we used to have a library class where we would go and spend time with the librarian. We would learn the Dewey Decimal System and how to look up information. If we were learning how to look up information, we would have to go to the book stacks and also to the microfiche to look up information. My daughter asked me where we would look to find out information on linear goes into inc 5000. I told her we would go to a card catalog and have to look up the information. She was not sure what a card catalog was, so I made sure that I looked up what it was and showed her what it looked like with a picture on the internet. She remarked that if she wanted to look up information that she would just either turn on her computer or turn on her cell phone to look up what she wanted to know. More »
When I was watching the news tonight, the nightly news caster asked the audience if we were better off financially this year than we were two years ago? Two years ago, many people were still reeling from the recession that took down our entire economic system. We barely survived a depression, and for many people, it was just as bad as a depression. I looked at linear title on the economy to figure out where I thought we were as a family. It was hard to gauge if we were better off or not because I am now working and I wasn’t before. More »

I was talking to my family at our recent family picnic and we started to trade stories about how bad customer service has gotten in stores. We were talking about how awful it was to go into a store that had bad customer service. It seems like you have to contact mandrien the manager if you want to have something done. Speaking to a supervisor or manager used to be done only if things could not be handled by the sales associate, and that was very rare. Today, a supervisor has to be called if the person who is doing the work is not able to take on the responsibility. More »
For my entire life, I have always supported small mom and pop shops instead of the big box stores. I would rather support my local community members than the national chains that may actually put my neighbors out of business. A problem is, there are a few local companies that may not be honest and it could be very hard to determine whether who you should support. I decided to check with the boston bbb to see if there were any local businesses that I was thinking of hiring with bad reviews. The nice thing about the bbb is that it is an independent, non profit organization that governs itself. It does not have an allegiance to any one company or business and it is propelled entirely by the consumer. More »
I just graduated from college and I have heard from a lot of my professors that those of us that graduated were not in a good position. We were not in a good position because many companies are not hiring new grads like they did twenty years ago and we are flooding the market to companies that are not providing the jobs they did years ago. Although I do not have a finance degree I am interviewing with a company to do national title agency consulting where I will be able to help people learn about the titles and how they can use them.
